Bryant Plaza opens in Roslyn Heights after $30M build

|

Bryant Plaza — a $30 million mixed-use development in the works for eight years — has opened in Roslyn Heights.

Designed by Mojo Stumer Associates and developed by JK Equities, the 100,000-square-foot project combines retail space and with 54 one and two-bedroom luxury rental apartments. Racanelli Construction Company served as the builder.

The rental living spaces range from a 900‑square‑foot, one‑bedroom, one‑bath apartment for $3,950 a month to a 1,568‑square‑foot, two‑bedroom, 2.5‑bath unit listed at $7,450 a month.

Work on the site began in 2017 and included village zoning approvals, facade and interior design, and management of construction. The building sits on a parcel with more than 20 feet of grade variation, which the architects addressed by incorporating multiple levels and a plaza designed to improve access.

“Modern architecture has a vital role on Long Island, transforming projects like Bryant Plaza to attract young professionals and families while elevating the community,” said Joe Yacobellis, senior associate and director of design at Mojo Stumer.

The retail base incorporates black brick and glass, while the upper floors include concrete and wood panels. Inside, the apartments feature open layouts and large windows to maximize natural light.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see this project open after eight years of hard work,” Yacobellis said.

Mojo Stumer Associates, based on Long Island, has been active in architecture and interior design since 1980.
