Four third-prize-winning Powerball tickets were purchased at Long Island retailers for Saturday night’s billion-dollar drawing, the New York Lottery announced on Sunday.
In all, nine third-prize tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in New York, with just under half of them bought in Suffolk and Nassau counties. An additional two third-prize winning tickets — worth $150,000 due to Saturday’s 3X Powerplay drawing — were purchased in Newburgh and Rosedale, New York.

The Long Island winning Powerball tickets were bought at:
- Babylon Convenience Spot Inc., 74 Montauk Highway, Copiague
- Motor Parkway Smoke Shop, 676 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge
- Cards & Gift, 324 Jericho Tpke., Syosset
- Neelkanth 1247 Corp. (gift and stationary shop) 1247 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh
The remaining four third-prize winning tickets were sold in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Greenwood Lake and Hamburg.
The Powerball numbers drawn Saturday night were 3, 18, 22, 27 and 33, with the red Powerball 17.
Not a single ticket purchased for the drawing matched all six numbers, so the giant jackpot continues to soar. It now stands at an estimated $1.1 billion, heading into Monday night’s Labor Day drawing.
