Take a look inside the new Kismet Coffee, now open in Bay Shore

|

Kismet Coffee Company has just opened for business at sparkling new digs in downtown Bay Shore.

And the place was “slammed” all Monday, which marked opening day at 45 West Main St., ownership said.

The building that now houses Kismet Coffee, which is decked out in mid-century modern furniture and decor, last hosted ITA Kitchen. (ITA closed suddenly in June after nearly six years on Main Street.)

Before that, old-school Bay Shore folks will remember this was the spot of Gino’s Pizzeria.

But look at it now. Scroll down for photos.

If you go

Kismet Coffee will be open seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., for its soft opening in Bay Shore. Within a few weeks, they expect a liquor license to arrive, after which Kismet will serve alcohol and offer a dinner menu. Kismet also serves coffee and espresso drinks and more at two locations on Fire Island, in Kismet and Ocean Beach.

Check back with Greater Long Island for updates.
