Fall Long Island Restaurant Week is happening now through Sunday

|

Long Island diners, get ready.

The fall edition of Long Island Restaurant Week returns Sunday, Nov. 2, through Sunday, Nov. 9, giving food lovers the chance to explore new spots and revisit old favorites at prix fixe rates.

The tri-annual promotion — now in its 19th year — will once again feature multi-course lunch and dinner deals across Nassau and Suffolk.

Restaurants can choose to offer one or more of four prix fixe menus:

  • $24 two-course lunch
  • $29 three-course dinner
  • $39 three-course dinner
  • $46 three-course dinner

To keep things fresh, each participating eatery is required to serve at least three options per course.

And if you’re a restaurant owner or manager, click here to get on the list and join the fun.

The deals run every night of the week and at some restaurants during lunch, too, with one exception: on Saturdays, the dinner specials may only be offered until 7 p.m.

Diners want more

Organizers say the appetite for Restaurant Week has only grown. A recent survey found that more than 70 percent of past participants plan to return, and nearly half said they like to dine out twice during the promotion.

“Diners are thrilled to welcome back Long Island Restaurant Week,” said Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group, which founded Long Island Restaurant Week. “After over 200 restaurants participated last fall, we expect at least 200 again this year, offering delicious, specially curated menus that celebrate the island’s vibrant culinary scene.”

The program first launched in 2006 as a fall-only promotion.

Its success later spurred winter (2016) and spring (2011) editions, making it a tri-annual tradition that brings extra energy and foot traffic to the region’s dining scene.
