Bellport’s newest dispensary lets customers see cannabis like never before

There’s a new place to buy cannabis in Bellport.

And this one is inviting customers to take a much closer look at what they’re buying.

Top Grass Cannabis Dispensary celebrated its grand opening Friday, June 26, at 28 Sawgrass Drive.

The shop, co-founded by Pavan Singh and Usman Whyen, carries flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, tinctures, topicals and other cannabis products for adults 21 and older.

But it’s what sits inside the store that the owners believe will help Top Grass stand out.

A microscope station allows customers to examine cannabis flower up close before making a purchase, offering a detailed look at its freshness, structure, trichomes and overall appearance.

“Our vision for Top Grass has always been bigger than opening a dispensary,” said Singh. “We wanted to create a destination where every customer feels welcomed, receives expert guidance, and is confident in every purchase they make. Top Grass also uses temperature-controlled storage units to help preserve the freshness and quality of its products.

The owners said proper storage has become an important issue for cannabis customers across Long Island, particularly when it comes to flower sitting on dispensary shelves for extended periods.

Among the early best-sellers are Ithaca Organics Strawberry Bubbles Flower, which features strawberry and citrus aromas; MFNY Honey Banana Badder Live Resin, a fruit-forward concentrate; and the Ayrloom ATF All-in-One Vape, which has notes of pine, citrus and sweet mint.
