ATL Wing Spot celebrates grand opening in Babylon on Halloween

|

There’s a new place to get your wing fix in Babylon Village.

ATL Wing Spot officially opened last week at 14 Railroad Avenue, serving up wings, chicken and waffles, specialty shakes, and more — all just steps from the Babylon LIRR station.

“We’re not just wings,” said owner Nikki Rashid, who runs the restaurant with her son Eshan and husband Mohammad Asif. “We have sandwiches, quesadillas, shakes, even fried Oreos!”

The setup is geared toward takeout, with ordering done at two large touchscreen kiosks or through the Snackpass app. A few counter seats line the side for those who want to stay and dig in.

Still, the focus is clear.

“Our motto is ‘saucy,’” Rashid said. “So that tells you a bit about our focus! We have 26 flavors of sauces.”

The lineup ranges from sweet honey BBQ and roasted garlic butter to Hot Buffalo 2.0 and the daring 911 Sauce. For those who like things a little neater, there are also three dry rubs, including Old Bay seasoning.

Rashid, a Hicksville native, said opening in Babylon Village felt like the right move.

“Everybody here in the community is so great,” she said. “We love the way everybody’s so involved and everybody’s so welcoming.”

ATL Wing Spot actually launched on Long Island in 2023, founded by two friends in Nassau County. After earning buzz on TikTok and a feature in QSR Magazine, the concept began expanding through franchises.

The Babylon location is independently owned by the Rashid family, who also operate several Sobol smoothie spots across Long Island.

Since Yankee Doodle Dandy Chicken closed earlier this year, Babylon Village has been missing a go-to chicken joint.

The Rashids hope to fill that void. And maybe spice things up a bit.

ATL Wing Spot held its grand-opening bash on Halloween night, complete with costumes, food, raffles and music.
