McIntyre, Donohue, Accardi, Salmonson & Riordan, LLP has announced the promotion of Timothy Finnegan to partner.
Finnegan has been with the Long Island–based law firm since 2016. His promotion reflects what the firm described as his strong legal acumen, dedication to injured workers and meaningful contributions over nearly a decade of practice.
Finnegan concentrates his work on complex workers’ compensation matters and is known for a balanced, strategic approach shaped by experience representing both defense and claimant interests. The firm said his emphasis on clear communication and long-term planning has helped many clients navigate difficult circumstances with confidence and clarity.
A graduate of Stony Brook University and Touro Law Center, Finnegan served as student bar association president during law school. He has remained active within the legal community, including service on the board of directors of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association.
In addition to his individual client work, Finnegan has developed relationships with local labor unions, including Local 371, which represents social service employees on Long Island, and Local 3 IBEW, a national union in the electrician industry. Through his work with union leadership and members, he regularly provides guidance on workers’ compensation rights, benefits and claim procedures, helping union workers better understand their protections following a job-related injury. The firm said his involvement reflects an ongoing commitment to supporting organized labor and advocating for Long Island’s workforce.
The promotion also comes during a milestone period in Finnegan’s personal life. He recently became a first-time father, and the firm congratulated him on both his professional and personal achievements.
