La Goulue Sur Mer sets reopening date in Southampton

|

La Goulue Sur Mer has set its opening date for the 2026 season in Southampton.

The French bistro in the heart of Southampton Village announced it will reopen Thursday, March 19, bringing back its signature mix of classic French cuisine, refined hospitality and the lively, see-and-be-seen atmosphere that has made it a popular gathering place on the East End, according to an announcement.

La Goulue Sur Mer blends the timeless feel of a traditional Parisian bistro with the energy of the Hamptons dining scene, offering a setting suited for long lunches, sunset cocktails and spirited dinners throughout the season, according to the announcement.

The menu features traditional French dishes alongside Mediterranean-inspired coastal fare, including fresh seafood, seasonal salads and brasserie favorites paired with a wine list highlighting French producers.

A highlight of the experience is the restaurant’s pastry program led by Chef Michel “Michoco” Chiche, a classically trained pastry chef from the south of France whose career has included kitchens across Europe, New York and Miami, the announcement reads.

His desserts include a vanilla mille-feuille with caramelized puff pastry, a Valrhona chocolate tart with sea salt and praline crunch, and rotating seasonal fruit galettes and warm madeleines.

“Southampton is such a fitting home for La Goulue Sur Mer,” Joseph DeCristofaro and Anthony Punnett, the team behind the restaurant, said in a statement.

“We look forward to welcoming guests for a beautiful season of great food, wine, and memorable evenings.”

The reopening marks one of the early signs of the Hamptons’ spring dining season as restaurants begin gearing up for another busy summer on the East End.
