Deer Park convenience store sells $2M Mega Millions ticket

|

The winning ticket from Tuesday’s drawing was the only second-prize winner sold in New York state.

Someone who stopped by a Deer Park convenience store this week is sitting on a $2 million Mega Millions ticket — and they may not even know it yet.

New York Lottery officials announced that a second-prize-winning ticket from Tuesday night’s drawing was sold at Bolla Market, located at 2111 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park.

It was the drawing’s only second-prize winner sold in New York state, and was no jackpot winner anywhere in the country.

The winning numbers were 5, 15, 22, 33 and 37; the Mega Ball was 2.

Mega Millions drawings are held twice weekly, on Tuesday and Friday nights.

The win marks Long Island’s first major lottery score in weeks. The last big New York winner on Mega Millions came March 27, when Mami Deli & Mini Market Corp. in Brooklyn sold a second-prize ticket worth $4 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday. The jackpot sits at about $110 million.
