Long Island Craft Beer Week heads to AJ’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese Shop Tuesday for a craft beer and grilled cheese pairing that’s all Bay Shore.
The grilled cheese will be prepared on premises at AJ’s on West Main, and the beer is making an almost straight run from The Brewers Collective brewery on North Clinton Avenue.
This will be the grilled cheese shop’s first-ever beer pairing since opening in 2016 at 182 West Main Street.
It starts at 5 p.m. and goes to 8 p.m.
“I think that beer and grilled cheese go great together and I am looking forward to this bringing more attention to the fact that we sell beer here at AJ’s,” said AJ’s owner Anthony Leis.
AJ’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese Shop started offering beer on tap in July, just a few months after opening in February of 2016.
“Whats better than beer, bacon, apples and cheese?” said Jason Weingarten of Brewers Collective, mentioning his favorite AJ’s offering. “It’s a simple and perfect combination together.”
The Brewers Collective tasting room opened last month to the north.
“Hopefully this draws some more beer lovers to their great beer as well,” Leis said.
