After six years in business, American Beauty Bar & Grill in Bellmore will be closing its doors for good.
The final day hasn’t been set yet, but the restaurant is expected to shut down by the end of August, according to owner Maria Cassano.
“Sad to see her go,” Cassano told Greater Long Island. “It was a great community to be part of.”
Cassano said the restaurant never fully bounced back after the pandemic. Foot traffic dropped off, she noted, and rising operational costs made it harder to keep going.
“We invite everyone to come on down and be a part of our final chapter,” she said.
Planned events like themed brunches and bingo nights are still happening, according to the Bar & Grill’s social media pages.
The brand lives on
While the Bellmore location is closing, American Beauty’s two sister restaurants in Massapequa are staying open.
The Bistro, located on Central Avenue, is the original spot and features the same menu that made American Beauty popular.
The Restaurant, on Park Avenue in Massapequa Park, is described as a more modest fine dining experience with a focus on simplicity and quality.
