Bay Shore now has its whiskey bar.
American Standard Whiskey Bar & Grill opened this week in the former Corks and Taps space at 53 West Main Street.
The restaurant is a collaborative effort between Costa Verde, a Bay Shore-based restaurant/hospitality group that operates Verde Kitchen & Cocktails, Coastal Kitchen, Brightwaters Inn, and the newly opened cocktail bar Sweet Jane, and local brothers Jake and Ricky Guadagno.
The team took over the location this spring.
“The focus is on American whiskey and bourbon with Southern-inspired food,” said Anthony Tartaglia, co-founder of Costa Verde, in a prior interview with Greater Long Island. “We’re going to be a nice restaurant, but also a whisky bar that is fun and friendly, with really good cocktails and music.”
The American Standard Whiskey Bar & Grill boasts craft cocktails, 24 draft beer lines, and live music. Tartaglia said they aim to offer high-end whiskeys that patrons won’t find at every bar, with a selection of over 250 options.
