Arboretum complex adds nearly 300 rental units to Farmingville

|

BRP Companies marked a milestone Tuesday with the completion of The Arboretum at Farmingville, a 292-unit residential community in the Town of Brookhaven, adding both new homes and a large public park to the Long Island landscape.

The ribbon-cutting wrapped up a multi-year project that brought 491,000 square feet of housing and a 7-acre park to 20 Maple Lane.

The Arboretum is BRP’s first venture on Long Island.

“With the completion of all units of The Arboretum, we are proud to have delivered much-needed housing to a highly sought after region,” said Meredith Marshall, the development company’s co-founder and managing partner.

The complex includes a variety of housing options: 82 two-bedroom flats, 82 lofts, 63 two-bedroom townhomes, 14 three-bedroom townhomes and 51 three-bedroom single-family homes. Thirty units are designated as workforce housing.

Rents range from $3,495 for a two-bedroom apartment to $5,350 for a single-family home.

Inside, apartments feature energy-efficient stainless-steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers and, in some cases, fireplaces, vaulted ceilings and balconies.

Outside, residents can take advantage of a fitness center with yoga and on-demand classes, a pool and cabana area, clubhouse with an entertainment kitchen, and courts for tennis, pickleball and bocce, according to a press released issued today, Tuesday.

There’s also a putting green, playground, dog run with pet wash stations and business center.

A 7-acre park with walking trails, nature paths and picnic spots is open to the public and blends into the Arboretum’s 62-acre setting.

BRP bought the property in 2020 and broke ground in July 2022. The first phase opened in June 2024.

Financing came from Santander Bank, Basis Investment Group, BlackRock and BRP. Leasing is being led by Greystar.
