The Argyle Theatre at Babylon Village opened to a packed house this past weekend.
“It was pretty magical,” co-founder Dylan Perlman told GreaterBabylon on Monday. “It was surreal.”
Argyle’s opening show on Saturday night, A Tribute to Donna Summer, served as the kickoff and a sort of beta test for the many shows to come at the former cinema.
“It was a tremendous learning experience,” said Perlman, who opened the theatre with is father, Mark, after extensive renovations to the old cinema. “We want to make adjustments after each event.”
Argyle Theatre employs professional actors, one of just a few such venues on the island. The next show is a comedy festival planned for May 5.
Below is the schedule for the other upcoming shows.
The box office is also now open and season tickets are available on their website.
