Book lovers, this news is for you — a permanent bookstore has just opened in the Westfield South Shore Mall.
Long Island Authors Group Bookstore is the only bookstore in the shopping center and the newest addition to the Islip Arts Council suite that includes consignment artisan gifts.
The authors group’s mission is to encourage, support, and promote authorship on Long Island and the New York area.
“LIAG is composed of Long Island-based published authors who appreciate and value the craft of writing and publishing,” said representatives of the organization. “We mirror the diversity that supports Long Island’s rich artistic tradition and hope to continue to uplift Long Island-based authors far into the future.”
