To stop the spread of COVID-19, the Babylon Town Aminal Shelter shut its doors to the public mid-March, which means there’s been no adoptions, drop-off donations, or fundraising events.
This had led to a strain on resources on the facility that relied heavily on the community’s support.
“Society may be on hold, but our work for animals in need is not,” said Kimberly Kaler, a volunteer at the Babylon Animal Shelter.
To help the shelter during the health crisis, workers at the animal facility have set up an online donations wishlist. The shelter is in need of peanut butter, KONG animal toys, rawhides, bully sticks, and beds size medium and large.
No public drop-off donations are allowed. All orders must be from Amazon or Chewy. Items must be new.
