A Bagel shop in Babylon Village is getting in on the gender reveal game.
Bagelicious announced in a Facebook video Monday the launch of the customizable bagels that can tell the sex of your baby. (Watch below.)
The video soon became one of the most liked and commented content on its page.
“I know people are having these [gender reveal parties],” said Babelicious owner John Boccone. “And I wanted to add the bagel to the [party].”
The gender-revealing bagels are all hand-made using plain dough, said Boccone. The bagels will appear like any other on the outside.
Then, just as with a reveal cupcake, you cut down the middle for the big surprise.
“If you can envision the rainbow bagel,” explained Boccone. “We are just going to use the blue or pink from the rainbow bagel and embed it into the plain bagel.”
But you won’t be able to dip into Bagelicious at 114 Deer Park Avenue on the fly and order up some blue or pinks. All orders must be placed in advance.
So call for your baker’s dozen, pour some mimosas and invite the family over.
“[With the new bagels] we are trying to remain cutting edge; and we always make custom orders,” said Boccone.
Bagelicious, a company that has been around for 35 years, also has two other locations in East Meadow, on Bellmore Avenue and Front Street.
