Babylon Village introduces new kayak and paddleboard launch site

|

Kayakers and paddleboarders now have a new spot to drop in Babylon Village.

Village officials announced on Facebook a second kayak and paddleboard launch site was built on the East side of the Argyle Marina, behind the Baymen’s Statue.

There’s a step down onto a ramp so it’s easier to keep kayaks afloat. It’s also ideal for paddleboarders who want to drop in and paddle to the Foster Creek canal and others in the area.

Parking is available directly behind the ramp. The other ramp location is in the northeast corner of the Village Pool parking lot.

“We kindly remind all kayakers and paddleboards to be safe, wear a life jacket, and carry a whistle as required by law,” the Village said in the statement.
