Winter hasn’t begun yet and we’re already seeing snow. And it’s just going to get colder from here. Fortunately, there are some great local places where you can warm up while you chow down. Here are five.
The Lakehouse, Bay Shore
At The Lakehouse, there are two rooms highlighting their two brick fireplaces. The Lakehouse is now open for lunch, so you can delight in their Butternut Squash Soup early in the day and Little Neck Clam Chowder any time of day.
A substantial option for dinner is their delicious and popular Crisp Long Island Duck Breast and Crisp Leg Confit. Make sure you save room for dessert because there are mouthwatering options, such as the Warm Cinnamon Doughnuts, Apple Crumb Pie, Caramelized Banana Bread Pudding and Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé.
