Ben & Jerry’s has landed in Riverhead.
The popular ice cream brand officially opened its doors at 87 East Main Street last week, just in time to cool off summer crowds with cones, sundaes, and signature chunks.
Here’s the first happy customer:
The venture was launched by husband-and-wife-team Angela and Steven Siliato, high school sweethearts from Wading River. The duo first shared their plans with Greater Long Island back in the spring. After months of construction and preparation, the shop is now up and running in the heart of downtown.
“Riverhead has been on my radar because it’s close to home,” Angela previously told Greater Long Island. “They have the aquarium, the Suffolk Theater — a lot of family-orientated stuff out there.”
With this opening, Riverhead joins Patchogue, Westhampton Beach, and Huntington as Long Island communitie with a Ben & Jerry’s location.
