That’s how a pair of Bethpage residents split the $5 million top prize they won playing New York Lottery’s $300,000,000 Cash Payout scratch-off game, the New York Lottery announced.
Albert Nocella and Catherine Nola claimed their respective shares earlier this month. They each received a single lump payment of $1,627,500 after required withholdings..
The winning ticket was purchased at Pramukh 204, a smoke shop located at 204 Broadway in Bethpage. The same location — formerly Kevin’s Korner — in April 2021 sold a winning second-prize ticket in a Cash4Life drawing, as reported by GreaterFarmingdale.com. The prize was $1,000 a week for the rest of the winner’s life.
