Billy Joel will once again help his fellow Long Islanders ring in the New Year.
The Piano Man is set to reprise last year’s New Year’s Eve celebration with another performance at UBS Arena, the new home of the New York Islanders at Belmont Park, on Dec. 31.
“Welcoming Billy Joel back to UBS Arena is the perfect way to celebrate what has been a hallmark year for the new venue,” said Mark Shulman, senior vice president of programming at UBS Arena. “Capping off a stellar year that has featured legendary performers, marquee sporting events, and family shows with our hometown hero is the perfect way to ring in the new year.”
Last year’s performance marked Joel’s first show at UBS Arena — and it was a sellout. Watch the countdown below.

This year’s concert will begin at 9:30 p.m. Click here for ticket information.
Long Islanders now have fewer chances to see Joel, as his Madison Square Garden residency ended in July.
They also may see him less on the Island, now that his 26-acre Centre Island estate is back up for sale. Reports indicate he’ll be spending most of his time in Florida while still maintaining some property on Long Island.
