Blue Point’s Greek Festival at St. John’s Orthodox Church runs July 7-9

|

Homemade gyros, authentic Greek pastries, and live entertainment are all on tap for this week’s Greek Fest in Blue Point.

The three-day event begins Friday, July 7, and runs until Sunday, July 9 at 77 Montauk Highway (scroll down to see times.) The festival, which is free to attend, is run by St. John’s Orthodox Church.

“Come for the authentic and delicious cuisine,” St. John’s Orthodox Church wrote on its website.

In addition to gyros, there will be souvlaki, moussaka, pastichio, roasted leg of lamb, tiropita, spanakopita, Greek salad, plus imported Greek beer and wine. For dessert, fresh baklava and galaktoboureko will be available for patrons.

Other than the great eats, the fest features rides and games, as well as merchants selling clothing, jewelry, and other Greek related items.  Mega raffle tickets will be sold throughout the night with the chance to a $10,000 grand prize.
