Owner Brianne Weiss invites the community back for one last party before the boutique-style shop on Main Street shuts down
BMW Pharmacy, the boutique-style pharmacy located in the heart of Patchogue’s Main Street, is closing after two years in business.
But not before one last party.
The shop at 8 West Main St. will host a farewell celebration on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., owner Brianne Weiss announced on social media. The event will include a closeout sale, snacks and raffles. Weiss also issued an open invitation for customers to stop by, take photos and share memories.
A North Babylon native who settled in Patchogue, Weiss opened the 3,000-square-foot shop with a mission to reimagine the neighborhood pharmacy. She paired prescriptions with wellness rooms, red light therapy and a retail area that felt more like a beauty boutique than a drugstore.
She said the name BMW stood for the shop’s three pillars: beauty, medicine and wellness.
In her farewell post, Weiss reflected on what the space came to mean beyond retail, writing that its walls held far more than prescriptions and skincare products.
“They’ve held conversations, hugs, laughter, tears, celebrations, health journeys, new friendships, and a community that showed up for me in ways I will never forget,” she said in her post.
As difficult as it is to say goodbye to this chapter, I don’t want our final memory here to be about closing the doors,” she continued. “I want it to be about everything good that happened while they were open.”
