Bubble opens new sister location for adults on Main Street in Babylon

|

Arts and crafts, but for grown-ups.

That’s the gameplan for Bubble’s new sister location, Bubble East.

And the new store is just a stone’s throw toss away from the popular children’s boutique and birthday spot in Babylon Village.

Bubble East opened in the former Shade Shop at 22 East Main Street, which is one store over from the original Bubble — with just Glen’s Dinette separating the two.

The new space saw a tremendous overhaul this past year.

“It is a great space,” said Bubble owner Jennifer Dellafranca. “We completely gutted the store.”

As the transformation was in process, Dellafranca used the space to run her pre-school and summer camps.

Bubble East officially opened for business in January.

“The goal was always to turn it into Bubble for adults,” said Dellafranca.

The design of the new store is comparable to Bubble, with the retail area in the front and arts and crafts space in the back.

As far as the boutique component goes, Dellafranca says Bubble East sells “gift-type items.”

The back of Bubble East, which can be divided into two rooms, is used for creative and mindfulness classes.

“We do everything from distressed wood signs to lazy Susans and canvas items,” said Dellafranca.

Some other classes involve making dreamcatchers, wreaths, fresh flower designs and jewelry.

“Anything artsy, really,” she said.

And soon crystal grid meditation classes will be available.

To get in on the fun, make sure to check out Bubble East’s monthly event calendar. You can come alone and make new friends, or reserve a table if you have 12 people in the backroom.

That backroom, which holds up to 40 people, can be reserved for private parties as well.

All the materials and instructions are provided; just make sure to bring the wine and snacks, says Dellafranca.

“It is going to be lots of fun,” she said.
