A new ranking of the 50 wealthiest suburbs in the United States includes just one Long Island community — and it’s not the one many would guess.
The study, released by GOBankingRates, analyzed U.S. Census data to determine the nation’s most affluent suburbs based on median household income, home values and the percentage of households earning over $200,000 annually.
Coming in at No. 46 on the list is Dix Hills, where the median household income is $270,581. It’s the only Long Island community to crack the top 50.
