You might think Los Angeles or New York City.
But as summer approaches the tiny Long Island hamlet known as East Hampton North, with a population of less than 6,000, has just been named as among the top 20 cites in the world to spot a celebrity.
That’s according to a new report by BetUS, which gathered data from popular celebrity sightings Instagram page Deuxmoi, reported from January 2024 to May 2024, combining them with the population of each city reported to generate a weighted average for the possible number of sightings per 100,000 people in those cities, an announcement reads.
The other top New York Spots were Bedford Hills (3), Larchmont (19). and Manhattan (20).
East Hampton North ranked as No. 16.
That’s the same hamlet where Bill Clinton and American Horror Story actress Emma Roberts were each spotted shopping at a local bookstore last summer on the same day, according to the Daily Mail.
“Celebrities make up an extremely small percentage of the human population, making the chances of meeting one in person very slim, so we at BetUS wanted to showcase where in the world gives you the best chance of a celebrity encounter,” said Andres Vargas, head content editor for BetUS, a a privately held online gambling company.
“Our rankings have uncovered the top cities across the globe that provide the best chance of meeting your favorite celebrity,” Vargas added.
