Everything you need to know about this summer’s Long Island Ice Cream Tours

|

They call it a kind of bar crawl for ice cream lovers — but without the arrests.

Long Island Ice Cream Tours — now in its 14th year — has scheduled three summer tours featuring locally owned shops that serve up some of the best homemade ice cream on the island. The tours tackle three regions of Long Island, south, west and east, and take place on weekend days across the summer.

Hundreds of ice cream lovers have participated in past Long Island Ice Cream Tour events.

“This delicious trek across Long Island provides a fun way to meet friends … while sampling the area’s best homemade ice cream,” said Long Island Ice Cream Tours co-founder Jeff Noreman of Port Jefferson.

Below is scheduling information for each tour, as well as the ice cream shops scheduled to be visited on the tours.
