The banner is up, and the super-popular Five Below discount store is opening its newest location on Friday, Nov. 1., at Lindenhurst Plaza off Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst.
The N. Wellwood Avenue strip mall currently plays host to an Applebee’s and King Kullen, among other businesses.
There are also Five Below locations nearby in West Babylon, Bay Shore and Farmingdale.

The rise of Five Below, founded in 2002 in Wayne, Pa., predated the fall of Toys “R” Us by some 15 years, but quickly emerged as a favorite place to shop among kids and teens, especially after the company went public and expanded rapidly in 2012.
Nearly everything is priced at $5 or less, though there are other, pricier products.
The company now operates nearly 1,600 stores across the U.S. The banner hanging outside the future Lindenhurst location also encourages would-be employees to contact the company by emailing [email protected].
