The Great South Bay YMCA celebrated 25 years Wednesday night at the YMCA/Boulton Center for the Performing Arts in Bay Shore.
Those in attendance also honored former YMCA board chair Susan Barbash, who was surprised to receive a plaque commemorating her work for the Y. Barbash then spoke with Greater Bay Shore TV about what makes the YMCA and its building on West Main Street such a great accomplishment that continues to be a special place today.
