Fall foliage season is underway, and for Long Islanders looking to chase the changing colors, knowing where to go โ and when โ can make all the difference.
Fortunately, Greater Long Island has a new way to help you plan that perfect autumn road trip.
Created exclusively for GLI by graphic artist Daniel DeLorenzo, our new interactive fall foliage guide takes readers on a colorful journey through some of the Northeast’s most scenic destinations, complete with mapped driving routes, recommended attractions and historical peak foliage dates.
Each destination also features its own seasonal window, along with suggestions for making the most of a visit.
The guide is based on historical foliage patterns rather than live leaf conditions, so actual peak dates may vary depending on the weather. Keep scrolling.
