Grandma accused in Patchogue teen’s trafficking was a fugitive last summer

The 52-year-old grandmother accused of sex trafficking a missing 14-year-old Patchogue girl in exchange for crack cocaine was a fugitive from the law in a different case last summer.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Comiskey, now one of seven individuals charged with felony crimes in the 25-day disappearance of the teen, was featured in “Fugitive Friday” social media posts shared last June by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office.

At the time, she was wanted by Family Court on an arrest warrant for failure to pay child support.

“Have you seen Jacquelyn Comiskey?” the post asks. “If you have any information on the subject, please call the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Warrant Squad.”

The post includes a wanted poster with a headshot photo of Comiskey. There’s also a video clip from Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr.

“When we get you, we have plenty of room in the inn for you,” Toulon says, while gesturing toward the county jail.

“Great job on finding her a year later and after she committed more crimes,” Facebook user Jen Gemmy Bolier quipped Tuesday night below the June post.

Comiskey, whose father was a police officer, was arraigned in Suffolk County District Court on Tuesday, along with Elizabeth Hunter, 34, on charges of sex trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child. Hunter is additionally charged with promoting an obscene sex performance by a child under 17.

Newsday reported that Comiskey brought the missing girl to the Copiague home of Bunice Knight, 47, on Jan. 2 and traded the teen for crack. Knight has been arrested and charged with raping the girl.

The women pleaded not guilty to the charges and both are being held on $750,000 cash bail.

Previously, Knight and four other men were arrested on charges that range from kidnapping to rape to endangering the welfare of a child. All of the defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The girl went missing on Dec. 9 after exiting her home and entering a car that had pulled up in front of her home. She was found on Jan. 3, alone on a 56-foot boat docked in an Islip marina.
