Summertime street fairs are underway across the island, including in Bay Shore, which hosted its third “Alive by the Bay” for the year Tuesday evening.
“Alive by the Bay has been a great thing, and then COVID hit,” Amanda Voges, a member of the Bay Shore Restaurant Committee, said. “It’s a great time, everyone’s having a good time, there’s great bands and everyone’s eating food.
“It just feels like we’re back to normal again which is great because COVID really hit us hard,” she continued. “But we’re back to normal and we’re having a great time, eating food drinking, living life.”
Tuesday evening marked the penultimate event in the 2022 “Alive by the Bay” series. The final street fair is slated for Tuesday Aug. 16 from 5-9 p.m.
