Our events & entertainment calendar lists two menorah lighting ceremonies on Sunday, one in Patchogue and another in Blue Point.
There are also three Christmas tree lightings spread out over the weekend, in Medford, Bellport and the New Village at Patchogue complex.
Also, the American Dance Theatre of Long Island has planned four installments of Clara’s Dream: The Nutcracker set for the main stage at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. The first show is at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Meanwhile, The Magic Toy Shop is playing at Clare Rose Playhouse on Saturday afternoon. The Magic Toy Shop tells the tale of a master toymaker who brings dolls to life by sprinkling magic dust on them, according to the calendar listing.
So, yeah, it’s safe to say the holidays are continuing to dominate these Great Weekends. To top things off, the Kiwanis Club of Patchogue is hosting its annual Santa’s 5K Toy Trot in Shorefront Park.
