Spring is arriving on Long Island — and Greater Long Island wants to see it through your lens.
We’re launching a Spring Photo Contest, inviting photographers of all levels — from seasoned pros to weekend hobbyists — to submit their best shots capturing Long Island in bloom.
Whether it’s cherry blossoms in full color, a quiet beach at sunrise, a bustling downtown, or a hidden gem you love, we’re looking for images that showcase the beauty and energy of Long Island in the springtime.
How to enter
Photographers can submit one or more photos that represent spring on Long Island. Images can be taken this year or in previous years. No AI-generated photos will be accepted.
To enter, email your photo(s) to [email protected]. Please include your name and any relevant details about the photo (location, date, etc.).
Submission deadline: April 5
How it works
Once submissions close, the Greater Long Island editorial team will review all entries and select a group of finalists.
From there, we’ll turn it over to the community.
Finalists will be posted on our social media channels, where the public will vote to determine the winner.
Voting will begin in mid-April.
The prize
The winning photographer will receive:
- $250 cash prize
- Full photo credit
- Their image featured as the Greater Long Island Facebook header for the spring season
Disclaimer: By submitting a photo, participants agree to allow Greater Long Island to use the image in its editorial content, with proper credit given to the photographer.
