Winston Churchill, Robert Peel, Lord Palmerston, King Hussein of Jordan, and India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

They were all graduates of one prestigious boarding school, the Harrow School in the UK.

And the list goes on and on.

Now, the Harrow International School New York has received charter approval from the state Board of Regents to educate students on waterfront property in Oakdale, and has just opened applications from students in grades 6 through 10.

An open house was also held on Tuesday at the campus.

The prep school “will be opening this fall for our founding cohort. Grades 11 and 12 will be added in subsequent years,” a spokesperson told Greater Long Island.

The school, which is currently undergoing a $100 million renovation, is located on the 170-acre Bourne Mansion Estate in Oakdale on Long Island, at 500 Montauk Highway.

“Combining 450 years of outstanding pedagogy at Harrow School in the UK with the vibrancy of modern-day New York, Harrow New York offers a premium education for girls and boys in Grades 6-12,” the school’s website reads.

September’s opening in Oakdale marks the first American affiliate of Harrow School, founded in 1572 and located in London.

A school representative told Newsday that the Bourne Mansion would continue to host weddings and events.

Tuition will cost $75,000 for the 2025-26 school year, for those looking to live on the campus full time. Five-day boarders will pay $70,250 and day commuters would be charged $61,700 for the school year, Newsday reported.
