Petrone’s Best Dish: Oaxacan-Style Carne Asada from Verde Kitchen & Cocktails
A remarkable skirt steak dish called the Oaxacan-Style Carne Asada landed Bay Shore’s Verde Kitchen & Cocktails the best plate of 2016.
Anthony Tartaglia, who owns and operates Verde Kitchen & Cocktails with his brother, Andrew, said tremendous preparation went into the creation of this classic dish.
“The style of cooking comes from a Mexican city called Oaxaca,” he said. “We traveled there to learn from the different vendors, who prepared steaks, vegetables, salsa, and tortillas.”
The dish has been on the menu since Verde’s 2014 opening.
It’s been a fan favorite ever since.
