At this year’s Island to Table fundraiser for HomeGrown Change, the six expertly crafted courses will be accompanied by several of Long Island’s artistically created craft brews. Here are the beers on this year’s menu:
Blue Point Brewery Blueberry Ale – For years, Blue Point’s Blueberry Ale has been a staple of summer because it isn’t overly fruity, but it is refreshing. It is a golden ale with a hint of fruit.
The Brewers Collective Zizek – “Zizek is an American Pale Ale brewed with Slovenian Cardinal Hops. It’s light, crisp and juicy with notes of fruit punch.”
BrickHouse Brewery Nigel’s Thornberry – “Nigel’s Thornberry is dry and a little tart with a hint of semi-sweetness from the blackberries, which makes this beer a huge hit amongst Rosé and White Zinfandel drinkers.”
Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. Summer Ale – “A refreshingly delicious, moderately hopped golden ale, with a touch of orange blossom honey for a slightly sweet and floral finish. Our Summer Ale is waiting somewhere between SPF whatever and sand in the bed.”
Lithology Brewing Company TMP Cream Ale – “Brewed with a combination of New York grain, flaked corn and sweet hops, the TMP Cream Ale is a crisp and refreshing beer that complements the palate and begs to be called for seconds.”
Long Ireland Beer Company Raspberry Wheat Ale – “It’s a traditional wheat beer that’s crisp and refreshing on a hot summer day. It is light-bodied with just a hint of raspberry as a cool finishing touch. It is served unfiltered, like most traditional wheat beers.”
