It was the biggest year yet for the Patchogue singles crawl

Love was in the air for Valentine’s Day in Patchogue — sans Tinder or Match.com.

That’s because the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce hosted its third annual “Looking for Love in All the Right Places” singles crawl and it was a hit.

“The purpose of the [singles] crawl is to make sure every bar on Main Street is packed on Valentine’s Day,” said Tiffany Rivera, a VP of the chamber. “And every bar was packed.”

According to Rivera, the crawl drew its most-ever attendees of 120 people, which raised $1,800 for the chamber’s restaurant committee.

That money will go toward improving and/or adding new events in the Patchogue area.

Realtor Stephen King of Realty Connect USA, who also helped organize the event, said he got a first glance at Cupid’s work in the downtown on Feb. 14.

“We had a couple of people fall in love,” he said, remarking that he saw some people making dinner arrangements that night.

But the single’s crawl wasn’t just for people looking for a date.

“We don’t want people to think of Valentine’s Day as a day for just couples, but just a good day to hang out and have fun in Patchogue,” said Rivera.
