Even during his off week, Jeremy Ruckert is winning.
The New York Jets rookie tight end from Lindenhurst proposed to his longtime girlfriend Robyn Haines last week, during his team’s bye week.
The two have been love birds since their days at Lindenhurst High School.
Ruckert announced the proposal — and the resulting engagement — on his Instagram last Thursday. He proposed at Prime in Huntington.
Watch their relationship develop over the years in a TikTok posted by Haines:
@robyndanielle98 Still can’t believe this 🥲 @jeremyruckert ♬ You’re Still The One – Eddie Tom
A lot of good has happened in Ruckert’s life over the course of a year.
The 22-year-old tight end was drafted by the Jets in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft after having a stellar career at Ohio State.
He’s played in one game for Gang Green this year, an epic comeback win against the Cleveland Browns. His team sits in second place in the AFC East with a 6-3 record.
