There was a time when JT’s on the Bay owner Justin Tempelman would post notices around Blue Point that his waterfront restaurant had opened for the season.
“Now, the minute that tent goes up, everybody in the neighborhood knows we’re open,” said Tempelman, who’s entering his 12th season on the water.
Well, the tent is up.
JT’s on the Bay opens at 4 p.m. today, Friday, May 11, and will be open on weekends for lunch and dinner until Memorial Day weekend, after which JT’s punches the hours up to seven days a week.
“We’re going into Year 12 and we are pumped to kick off the Summer of 2018 and see our loyal customers again!” Tempelman told GreaterPatchogue Friday. “This is more than just a restaurant; it’s Blue Point’s summer clubhouse. We wait all year for this and we can’t wait to see you all.”
JT’s is located at 1 Curtis Road, in the Blue Point Marina, and features an indoor bar and dining area with outdoor dining under the tent.
