Krispy Kreme’s delicious doughnuts have made their to Walmarts on Long Island.
Starting Monday, Feb. 27, the new Walmart Supercenter in Yaphank, among other local Walmarts, began serving fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
“The people have been going crazy for them,” said an employee at the Yaphank location.
Among the Long Island locations that are serving Krispy Kreme include Walmarts in Middle Island, Riverhead, Centereach, East Setauket, Islandia and Commack, according to Krispy Kreme’s website. Click here to see the full list.
As the box promotes, all the doughnuts will be delivered daily. The selection includes its patented glazed doughnut, as well as other popular flavors like chocolate frosting with rainbow sprinkles.
Krispy Kreme began recently making its way back on Long Island, with local supermarkets selling its sweet treats.
Krispy Kreme and Walmart began a partnership in 2020, where the world’s largest retailer agreed to sell packaged mini crullers and doughnut bites in its stores.
Back in its heyday, there used to be four Krispy Kremes on the island — one in Hicksville, East Meadow, Melville and Riverhead. The Riverhead location, which shut down in 2006, was the last to close on Long Island.
