I saw this article and want to express my displeasure about how one sided the article is. Nurses and other health care providers with direct patient care responsibilities and sports figures are not equivalents.
I disagree with the decision by NY mayor Adams to allow unvaccinated players to play, but at least they do not come into contact with patients. Nurses have direct contact with patients that are in the hospital for a reason. To ask patients to accept being exposed to nurses who may infect them because they refuse to accept the science that the covid vaccines work is just not the same. The author should have referenced any of the many government or NGO sites that affirmatively state the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.
