Lindt Chocolate opens Long Island outpost at Tanger Deer Park

|

Lindt Chocolate has just opened its only Long Island store at the newly reimagined Tanger Deer Park.

Before opening at the open-air retail mecca, the closest Lindt Chocolate Shop locations was in midtown Manhattan.

(Though post-publication, Greater Long Island readers pointed out there had been locations at Smith Haven and Tanger Riverhead.)

In Deer Park, the renowned chocolatier is dishing out not only hand-crafted confections, but also ice cream and chocolate coffee drinks — and to some really rave online reviews.

“It is soooo good the chocolate are better than any chocolate that I ever had,” writes Google reviewer Donah Gervais, who gave the place five stars. “The ice cream is so soft and creamy and rich. You could say they are better than Baskin Robbins and etc. But overall, they are top-tier. You can’t go wrong with European chocolate.”

“This place is very easy on the eyes when you come in,” added another Google reviewer, Joe Abel, with five stars. “The decor and chocolate are placed exactly in a way where you feel like you’re a kid in a candy shop literally. The chocolate is great. They have so many options including some international ones! They even have chocolate bark fresh and machines to make you fresh stuff. 100% I’ll be back and this is going to be a delicious new addition to the neighborhood.”

The news follows this month’s opening of GOAT USA, a Long Island-born company with a national footprint.

“We’re always listening to what our shoppers are looking for, and Lindt Chocolate and GOAT USA bring the kind of unique offerings that make a trip to Tanger Deer Park special,” said Amaka Muir, Tanger Deer Park’s marketing director. “These new additions give visitors a fresh experience, whether they’re picking out gifts for loved ones or treating themselves, and we’re excited to enhance our retail roster with more top brands just in time for the holiday season.”

You’ll find Lindt Chocolate Shop near the new Wayfair Outlet, which opened last year in the former Christmas Tree Shoppe’s space.
