Local Burger Co. of Bay Shore is now slinging burgers directly to your front door.
The gourmet burger spot at 62 East Main Street recently launched a 7-days-a-week delivery service, the company announced in a press release Friday.
“After many requests for delivery we decided to join the ranks of pizza and Chinese as an alternative to food delivered to your doorstep,” said Mike McElwee, a Local Burger co-owner.
The delivery service started Nov. 15.
“In the beginning much of our delivery has been local businesses and Southside Hospital,” McElwee said. “We hope to expand to more residential and look forward to delivering to the Fire Island ferries this summer.”
Local Burger delivery will be available form noon to 9:30 p.m. everyday, with a $2 delivery charge and a minimum order of $20.
Orders must be placed through the website or the Local Burger app.

The delivery zone runs from Route 111 to the Brightwaters concourse, all south of Sunrise Highway.
Local Burger will also deliver to Southside and Good Samaritan hospitals.
