Long Islanders took to the ice in Port Jefferson on MLK Day

People across Long Island marked their Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday in different fashions.

Some participated in parades. Then there’s the big Dr. King Memorial Breakfast in Hauppauge. On the North Shore, people gathered with family and friends for some ice skating rink in Port Jefferson.
