Suffolk cops arrested four teenagers late Thursday afternoon following a gunpoint robbery of a teen in the parking lot of a Middle Island apartment complex, police said
An 18-year-old man had set up a deal to sell luxury clothing through a social media platform when two men and two juvenile males approached him on foot in the Fairview Circle parking lot of Artist Lake Fairview apartments about 5:05 p.m. Two of the suspects displayed handguns and took a large amount of clothing from the trunk of the victim’s car before fleeing on foot.
Officers from Suffolk Police’s Canine Section tracked down the group at a home at 353 Artist Lake Drive in Middle Island, where all four suspects were arrested at 6:35 p.m.
Isaac Brutus, 18, of Lindenhurst; Aubre Vandunk, 18, of Oceanside; a 16-year-old; and a 17-year-old were charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm and multiple weapons possession charges.
The two 18-year-olds were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, while the younger suspects will appear in the court’s Youth Part on Friday.
