Morgan’s Brooklyn Barbecue of Prospect Heights is about to set up shop in Huntington Station, at the Walt Whitman Mall.
Morgan’s, which also has a location at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania, will be taking over the space last occupied by Zinburger, which billed itself as a wine and burger bar. The mall’s website states only that Morgan’s is “coming soon,” with no exact planned opening date listed.
The original Morgan’s opened in 2013, then reopened in September after a 2021 fire, according to Brooklyn Paper.
Morgan’s describes its barbecue fare as Austin-style.
“Our smoker runs 24/7, giving lots of love to what we think is the best brisket, pork ribs and slow-smoked chicken around,” reads the Walt Whitman Mall website. “But Morgan’s is more than just great barbecue. It’s good atmosphere and great beers and bourbons.”
