Nicky’s on the Bay and Nicky’s Clam Bar will open May 1 for curbside pickup amidst the governor’s stay-at-home orders.
It’s a bit behind schedule due to the coronavirus. And, of course, this is very unlike seasons past, but it’s a sign of summer returning to Bay Shore and Long Island.
The Fire Island Ferries, where the clam bar is located, are still operating — though click here for guidelines and modified schedules.
Also, last week New York State lifted restrictions at marinas.
So you might not be partying on the rooftop at Nicky’s on the Bay this month, but you still can enjoy a Tuna BLT at the Bay Shore Marina where the restaurant is located.

Nicky’s on the Bay will be accepting phone orders only, with credit card payments. The clam bar will be accepting phone and window orders with cash or credit payments.
Nicky’s Clam Bar owners Nick and Joey Parini are also celebrating their 30th anniversary at the terminal.
The Parini family, of Bay Shore, took over the old Porky’s location at there in 1990, when the younger Parini was just 7.
Now Joey Parini runs the place and is a co-owner.
The property owners, the Mooney family, undertook a complete interior and exterior renovation of the little restaurant starting in mid-December 2016. The updated clam bar was unveiled in March 2017.
Nicky’s on the Bay, at the foot of Bay Shore Marina, is entering its 16th season in Bay Shore. It underwent a massive expansion in 2015.
Its the rooftop snack bar opened in 2016.
