North Fork Doughnut Co. teams with Coastal Kitchen for weekend collab

|

The founders of the North Fork Doughnut Company can’t get enough of Bay Shore and its vibrant businesses.

Earlier this year, the popular doughnut shop also known as NoFoDoCo teamed with Bay Shore’s Destination Unknown Beer Company (DUBCO) to create a Strawberry Frosted Donut Milkshake IPA.

Now its owners, Jimmy Lyons and Kelly Briguccia, told GreaterBayShore they will be collaborating with Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar for a weekend pairing.

“Any chance we get to work with like-minded businesses and people, we do it,” said Lyons. “It’s an amazing way for us all to lift each other up and reach an audience we normally would never be able to reach on our own.”

On Friday, May 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Bay Shore restaurant will begin offering the pairing of its signature Painkiller cocktail with NoFoDoCo coconut buttercream doughnuts with vanilla icing and toasted coconut, topped with house-made pineapple orange syrup and freshly grated nutmeg.

“The staff and ownership over at Coastal really embody the same spirit of what we try to be, so it was a no-brainer to do something this awesome with them,” said Lyons.

And Coastal’s owners feel the same toward the Mattituck-based doughnut shop.

“We’re huge fans of NoFoDoCO so we’re super excited to be able to work together on this new project with them,” said Coastal co-owner Anthony Tartaglia. “The Painkiller drink from Jost Van Dyke has been one of our best selling drinks and we wanted to be able to put a fun and local spin on it with some really great doughnuts.”

The special pairing will run that entire weekend while supplies last.
